Oahu boasts over 125 miles of beaches. There's a beach for everyone to enjoy — the family, the adventurous, the romantic and the playful. As with anything in nature, always exercise caution as conditions may change.

Waikiki Beach

Simply the "world's most famous beach" and a fun one to meet people, learn to surf and ride a wave on an outrigger canoe.

Makapuu Beach

A good beach for body-surfing enthusiasts boasting great coastal views. Further down, the shoreline becomes more rocky and is popular for shore fishing.

Waimanalo Beach Park

Four miles of uninterrupted sand! Gentle, rolling waves and good swimming make it a great family beach.

Kailua & Lanikai Beaches

Side by side on Oahu's Windward coast, these beaches are near-perfect and usually rated the top two beaches in America. Mellow, great swimming, superb kayaking, wind-surfing and great views of the Koolau mountains.

Sunset Beach / Ehukai Beach

During the summer months, these beaches are great for swimming and kayaking — look for sea turtles and dolphins. Winter months bring 30 foot waves, turning these beaches into favourite surf competition venues — hang out and watch the surfers.

What a treat! World-class surfing waves in winter months plus whale and dolphin sightings. In the summertime enjoy the great swimming beach, lookout views, spectacular sunsets and the lush, historic valley backdrop.

Yokohama Bay

If you're headed out to Kaena Point, the paved road stops here. Yokohama offers a long stretch of sandy beach with superb snorkeling and fishing. A truly local beach that's often totally deserted.

Formerly known as Barbers Point, this area is actually three beaches: White Plains, Nimitz Beach and Nimitz Cove. The best beach is White Plains, a sandy stretch great for beginning surfers and sunbathers alike with terrific views of Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head. Surf board rentals available.
